Stale Mate is a 30-minute dramedy about two best friends, Evie, an industrious Bisexual, and Ben, a PhD Queer Studies Professor, who cross the lines of sexual fluidity and commitment, searching for the key to unlock their stale relationships.
Pilot Overview - "Dropping the Baby Bomb"
Evie and Ben are pregnant, unfortunately Evie’s fiancé, Rain, doesn’t know, and neither does Ben’s husband, Logan. Two months ago a very distraught Ben shows up at Evie’s, and receives the care he needs: booze, music, and a lip-syncing display that leads to much more than they expected.
It's like a gay Catastrophe meets Togetherness.
