Ruth, 17 and in love, needs money to make her post-graduation get away with Julie. Carol, 14 and in love with math, needs money to get into the school of her dreams. Only one problem - neither girl has any money. When Carol discovers their mother's secret cash stash, both girls are set on a trajectory of stealing and leaving the other behind. Only one girl can go, and only one person can stop them - their mother.
